Is Recession Round the Corner

1) Without going into the economic theory of what a recession is, we shall look at everyday examples to try and understand if we are approaching a recession.

2) People have job offers, but joining is pending; employees are being let go for various non-performance-linked reasons; bonuses have dried up and increments are negligible.

3) Global stock markets are swinging like pendulums with experts predicting corrections; FPIs have turned net sellers; most currencies have taken a hit against USD; and interest rates are rising

4) Demand for goods is stagnant and prices have gone up; there is a supply crunch for various raw materials; a war is happening in Europe; developed countries are witnessing price rise like never before and political changes are happening at an unprecedented rate

5) Even if these things along with many others not mentioned above are not directly related to a slowdown, they for sure paint a pessimistic picture
